- Close all open Microsoft Word instances. Then reopen the merge document and remerge.
- If the document is on a network drive, ensure that no other users are accessing it.
- Recreate the query from scratch using the same filters as the problem query. Use this query instead.
- Reboot the workstation
- Delete temporary files and empty the recycle bin
- Manually Update/Repair the workstation or uninstall and reinstall the workstation
