1. Run the Gift Detail and Summary Report and select Summary or Both for the Report Type on the General tab.
  2. If using a query, include the query on the General tab.
  3. On the Gift types tab, select all types you want in Column 1.
  4. On the Graph tab, select Graph only or Report and graph as the output.
  5. Select Pie under Available graph types.
  6. Select Data source in the left frame and unmark all columns except for Cash and Total.
  7. On the Format tab, select Detail and specify what to summarize the report by (e.g., Fund, Constituent Code).
  8. Print or preview the report.


  1. Export the data to Excel.
  2. Create the pie chart in Excel.
