Users have the option to automatically generate Student/Applicant IDs in Admissions and Registrar's Office 7 for records instead of creating them manually.
1. In Configuration, click Business Rules and highlight General 2. Mark the Automatically generate applicant/student IDs checkbox 3. Select the starting value and number of characters to include 4. Mark the options to prefix applicant and student records with specific values ( if desired) 5. Close Configuration to save changes
NOTE: To automatically stop generating IDs, do not mark the 'Automatically generate' checkbox. NOTE: Any changes to how the IDs are generated will not affect records with previously existing IDs, only records going forward.
