As system administrator, you can restrict teachers to use only supervisor-defined scales in their Faculty Access for the Web gradebooks.

Note: The only way to be sure all teachers are using supervisor-defined grading scales is to mark the Require Faculty to use Supervisor-defined Grading Scales checkbox before you give teachers access to an academic year. If teachers define their own grading scales and you later mark the checkbox, teachers can still use the grading scales they created but cannot edit them.
 

To set the restriction in FAWeb 7.83:
 

  1. Log into Faculty Access for the Web as Supervisor
  2. On the navigation bar, click Setup
  3. Select Define grading scales for faculty to use
  4. Select the correct school and academic year
  5. Mark the Require Faculty to use Supervisor-defined Grading Scales checkbox

 

To set the restriction in FAWeb 7.82:
 

  1. Log into Faculty Access for the Web as Supervisor
  2. On the navigation bar, click Setup
  3. From the list on the left, select Grading Scales
  4. Mark the Require Faculty to use Supervisor-defined Grading Scales checkbox
