Try each of the following steps in order until the issue is resolved:
  1. Reboot the workstation
  2. Repair the workstation from the deploy folder
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the workstation: [The Raiser's Edge 7]  [The Education Edge/The Financial Edge/Blackbaud Student Information System]
  4. Manually run BBPatch.exe from the deploy folder.
If this doesn't work and you have one computer with multiple users and Windows accounts, run the The WMI Diagnosis Utility to check for issues with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) that could prevent it from working properly. If there are issues, repair the WMI components on the affected computer. Contact the appropriate software vendor or IT professional for assistance with this process or issue, which is beyond Blackbaud's scope of support.
