Note: Before you proceed with the following instructions, back up the database. If your organization integrates multiple Blackbaud products, refer to the Additional Requirements section of the backup solution.

  1. Identify courses with grading defined for the academic year/session by creating a course query in Query
    1. Expand the Grading information category
    2. Filter by the appropriate academic year
    3. Include the course ID and/or course name in the Output

      Note: To list each course's grading information so you can re-define it at a later time, include the following fields in the Output:

      • All fields in the Grading information category
      • All fields in the GPAs subcategory
      • All fields in the Grades subcategory
      • All fields in the Skills subcategory




  2. Open the query of courses in Records - Courses
    1. In Records, click Courses
    2. Select Tools, Options from the menu bar
    3. In the Display this tab when a record is opened field, select Grading
    4. Click OK
    5. On the Records, Courses page, click Open a Course
    6. On the Open screen, in the Search using query field, select the course query created above
    7. Click Find Now
    8. Double-click the first course that appears in the grid to open it


  3. Delete the appropriate academic year/session record from each course record
    1. On the Grading tab of the course record, select the appropriate academic year/session record, and click Delete on the action bar
    2. A message appears asking if you are sure you want to delete the record. Click Yes.
    3. Select File, Save from the menu bar
    4. Click the right arrow on the action bar to access the next course record in the query
    5. Repeat the steps to delete the academic year/session record and save the course record
    6. Repeat for each record in the query
