In Version 7.94 and higher:
 
  1. Create a constituent query
  2. On the Criteria tab, select:

    Phones > Phone is Primary? = Yes AND Phone Type = Email

    OR Primary Business Information > Phones > Phone is Primary? = Yes AND Phone type = Email
        
  3. Save and close the query
  4. Create a constituent export in Blackbaud Simple Word Merge format based on the query created in steps 1 through 3
  5. On the Output tab, Select Phones > Phone is Primary? > Phone Type and Phone Number. Choose to export 1 and select the phone type Email.
  6. Select Primary Business Information > Phones > Phone is Primary?, Phone Type and Phone Number. Choose to export 1 and select the phone type Email.
  7. Click Edit Merge Document
  8. Select Insert Word Fields If...Then...Else. Set up a statement that says if Primary Phone Type is blank insert Business, otherwise insert Primary. For additional information on If...Then...Else statements, refer to BB155132.
  9. Click OK
  10. If the complete conditional statement does not appear, press Alt + F9
  11. Highlight the word Business. Select Insert Raiser's Edge Field > Primary Business Phone Number.
  12. Highlight the word Preferred. Select Insert Raiser's Edge Field > Preferred Phone Number.
  13. Click Save and Return to RE7 to Merge
  14. Click Merge Now
In Version 7.93 and earlier versions:
     
    • Create a constituent query
    • On the Criteria tab, select:


      Preferred Address > Preferred Phones > Preferred Phone Type = Email

      OR Primary Business Information > Address > Phones > Phone type = Email

            
    • Save and close the query
    • Create a constituent export in Blackbaud Simple Word Merge format based on the query created in steps 1 through 3
    • On the Output tab, Select Addresses > Preferred Addresses > Preferred Phones > Preferred Phone Type and Phone Number. Choose to export 1 and select the phone type Email.
    • Select Primary Business Information > Addresses > Phones > Phone Type and Phone Number. Choose to export 1 and select the phone type Email.
    • Click Edit Merge Document
    • Select Insert Word Fields > If...Then...Else. Set up a statement that says if Preferred Phone Type is blank insert Business, otherwise insert Preferred. For additional information on If...Then...Else statements, refer to BB155132.
    • Click OK
    • If the complete conditional statement does not appear, press Alt + F9
    • Highlight the word Business. Select Insert Raiser's Edge Field > Primary Business Phone Number.
    • Highlight the word Preferred. Select Insert Raiser's Edge Field > Preferred Phone Number.
    • Click Save and Return to RE7 to Merge
    • Click Merge Now
