If the Checkbox is Marked by the Conversion
If a course record has an academic year selected in the Terminate After field in version 6, it is not necessarily omitted from scheduling in version 7 even though the Course is no longer offered checkbox converts as marked. In version 7, courses are included in scheduling if restrictions exist for the academic year/session on the Restrictions 2 tab of the course record.

Note: The conversion creates restrictions for an academic year/session if the following information exists for the year in version 6: course requests, classes, or a record for the academic year on the Meetings tab of the course record.

To omit a course from scheduling, delete the academic year/session record on the Restrictions 2 tab of the course record.

If the Checkbox is Marked Manually
If restrictions are defined for one or more academic years on the Restrictions 2 tab, when you mark the Course is no longer offered checkbox and click Save, a prompt appears asking if you want to delete the restrictions.

For example, if a course record has restrictions for the Regular session of 2005-2006, 2006-2007, and 2007-2008, the following prompt appears:

Click Yes to remove the restrictions from the Restrictions 2 tab and omit the course from scheduling for those academic years. Click No to keep the restrictions and allow the course to be used in scheduling for those academic years.
