If the addresses are not linked:
  1. In Records, open one of the records with the phone number to share
  2. Select the Addresses tab and open the appropriate address
  3. Click Copy Address From (if they are linked, the Copy Address From button will not exist on the Address)
  4. Search for the record to link to and click Open
  5. Mark the Link the Addresses? checkbox and click Copy now
  6. The new address appears and the phone numbers that can be shared show as linked
  7. Click Ok
  8. Save and close the record

If the addresses are linked but the phone number is not shared, either:
  • Manually link the phone numbers:
    1. In Records, open one of the records with the phone number to share
    2. Select the Addresses tab and open the appropriate address
    3. In the Contact Type grid, select Shared from the drop-down menu under the Link? column for the appropriate contact types and numbers
      Note: If other records with shared addresses have a phone number with the same type, verify that the phone numbers are the same or are no longer valid before overwriting with new numbers
      Click OK
    4. Save changes and close record
    or
     
  • Download and run the Mark Phones As Shared plug-in which marks as all non-shared phone numbers with linked addresses as Shared.

Note: If a Contact Type has been defined as not shared in Configuration, it will not be possible to share the phone number between records.
