You can find the URL for the Blackbaud Netcommunity (BBNC) Plug-in using one of the following methods:

Using the NetCommunity Plug-in (when hosted by Blackbaud):
  1. Log into the appropriate Blackbaud Hosting Services portal.
  2. Click BBNC version icon of your hosted product (i.e. The Raiser's Edge - BBNC Plugin) and log in.
  3. Once logged in, click the NetCommunity Plug-in on the navigation menu (typically on the left below Configuration).
  4. In the resulting, Options menu, click the Connection Settings option.
  5. The URL is listed in the Enter the URL for the Blackbaud NetCommunity Web Service field.
Using the NetCommunity Plug-in (non-hosted):
  1. Log into BBNC integrated application (i.e. The Education Edge, The Financial Edge, or The Raiser's Edge).
  2. Once logged in, click the NetCommunity Plug-in on the navigation menu (typically on the left below Configuration).
  3. In the Options menu, open the Connection Settings option.
  4. The URL is listed in the Enter the URL for the Blackbaud NetCommunity Web Service field.
Using the View BBNC MasterService URL Script:
  1. Download the View BBNC MasterService URL VBScript.
  2. Unzip and move the file to the server which houses The Raiser's Edge database.
  3. Run the script, entering in the following information:
    • The SQL Server instance name your database is attached to, in the format servername\instancename.
    • The name of your Raiser's Edge database.
      Note: This information can be found in the Blackbaud Management Console (BMC).
  4. The URL will be displayed.
Using the SQL Server Management Studio:
  1. On the server that houses The Raiser's Edge database, open SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. Select The Raiser's Edge database and then select Tables.
  3. Right-click the dbo.txtblock table. Select Open Table.
  4. Scroll through the table and locate the URL listed in the TXT Column. This is the Blackbaud NetCommunity Plug-in URL.
  5. The URL should point to the PluginService virtual directory and to MasterService.asmx within that directory.
