Declare the variable in Modules, Systems_Macro, then set it in ActiveObjects, REApplication, UIOpen event. It is then able to be called in other parts of the Active objects.

For example:

In System, Modules, Systems_Macro

Public gsTest As String

ActiveObjects, REApplication, UIOpen event

Private Sub REApplication_UIOpening()

  gsTest = "Hello World"

End Sub

Private Sub RaisersEdgeRecord_BeforeSave(oRecord As Object, bcancel As Boolean)

    MsgBox gsTest

End Sub

The above will give you a message box from a Variable declared globally.
