Let's try each of the following steps in order until the issue is resolved:

  1. If the report is not alphabetical, look through the entire report to find the record.
  2. Remove the currency filter from the report.
  3. If using a query, ensure the query is the correct type (constituent, action, etc).
  4. If using a query, ensure it includes the missing record.
    • If not, refresh the query if it is static.
    • Recreate the query using filters that include the record.
  5. If using a query and the record is in the query, reselect the query in the report.
  6. Verify the record exists in Records.
  7. Ensure the record meets the criteria selected on the report. For example:
    • If the constituent is marked as deceased, inactive, or no valid address, mark the appropriate checkboxes on the General tab of the report.
    • On the Filters tab, ensure no filters are selected that exclude the missing record.
    • On the Gift Types tab, unmark the Exclude zero amount gifts checkbox.
    • If running a tribute report, check the Tribute tab of the gift to ensure it is linked to a tribute.
    • If using selected campaigns, funds, or appeals, ensure the constituent has a gift with one of the selected campaigns, funds, or appeals. If the campaign, fund, or appeal is blank on a gift, it is not included when using selected campaigns, funds, or appeals. 
    • On the Gift Types tab, mark the Calculate gift balance based on date range, campaign, fund, and appeal checkbox. This option is available when the Use Gift Balance checkbox is marked.
    • On the Attributes tab if using attributes to include, ensure the constituent has one of the selected attributes.
    • On the Attributes tab if using attributes to exclude, ensure the constituent does not have any of the selected attributes.
    • If wanting to include matching gift companies, in the Matching Gifts section on the General tab, mark Credited to MG Company or Credited to Both.
    • If wanting to include soft credit recipients, in the Soft Credits section on the General tab, mark Credited to Recipient or Credited to Both.
    • If using selected constituency codes, ensure that the constituent has one of the selected constituency codes and that code's date from and date to is blank or includes today's date. Refer to How to indicate hierarchy of constituency codes in The Raiser's Edge 7 (BB4380) and How does the Statistical Report by Constituency process constituent codes (BB260660).
    • If choosing selected contacts, ensure contacts to mail to have the contact type that is selected.
    • If using the fiscal year as the date range, ensure the correct fiscal year is set up on the General tab of Configuration.
  8. Recreate the report.
  9. Reboot the workstation.
  10. Delete and re-add the missing record.
