In version 6 the Cash, Suspense, and Discounts Taken General Ledger accounts are defined on the Blackbaud Systems tab of Bank Accounts. Unlike Accounts Payable, once a transaction is posted in Accounts Receivable, it cannot be deleted.
You can choose to post Cash, Revenue, Receivables, Suspense, and Applications in detail or summary. If you post in summary, you can summarize by fiscal period or post date. When posting cash, you can also summarize by deposit. If you summarize by fiscal period, the posting date will be the last day of the month for the period in which transactions are being posted. Conversely, if you summarize by post date, all transactions with the same account number and post date will be summarized together. The journal reference for postings in detail can be a custom reference or the one defined on the General Ledger tab in Configuration.
