Error: Error saving record: Can not have duplicate split information
Set up the split gift screen so that each row is unique, e.g. the campaign, fund, appeal or package is different on each row.
If there are currently two splits with a different campaign, fund, appeal or package, and you want the splits to be the same, delete the second split and update the campaign, fund, appeal, package and amount as appropriate on the first split. For example:
Jane - made a $1000 pledge to Campaign A, Fund A, and Appeal A. She pays $500 to this campaign, fund, and appeal. Ace Corp will pay the other $500.
Jim - made a $800 pledge to Campaign A, Fund A, and Appeal B He pays $400 to this campaign, fund, and appeal. Ace Corp will pay the other $400.
Ace Corp sends in a check for $900 to be applied to both the pledges. Because there are two diffferent appeals, it creates two splits on the Split Gifts tab when the gift is applied. The appeal needs to be changed to Appeal C for both splits. When this is done, it makes both splits exactly the same. Therefore, on the Split Gift tab, delete the second split, change the appeal to Appeal C and the amount to $900.
