Allow the post to run to ensure that it is truly locked up. There may be other processes running on the workstation or network causing it to take longer than expected.
 

If the program continues to fail to respond or crashes:

     
    • Log into The Financial Edge, General Ledger and click Journal Entry
    • Verify whether or not a batch was created for the gifts
    • Log into The Raiser's Edge and query by gift post status to locate which gifts were actually posted and any that were not
    • Compare the results of your Raiser's Edge query with the general ledger journal entry batch to confirm that any gifts that were posted are marked as such within The Raiser's Edge and any gifts that did not post are marked as such within The Raiser's Edge as well.

       

      If some gifts were posted and others were not you can either post again to post the remaining gifts into a new journal entry batch, or delete the partial general ledger journal entry batch, then restore The Raiser's Edge database from a backup from prior to posting to general ledger and re-post.
       

      If no journal entry batch was created in general ledger but the gifts are marked as posted within The Raiser's Edge, then restore The Raiser's Edge database from a backup from prior to posting to general ledger and re-post.
