  2. Under Class, highlight Term and click New Import
  3. Select the Export records option and select Include selected records in the file option
  4. In the Import file field, enter the path of the Import file to be created
  5. Complete the remaining fields on the General tab as needed, click Next
  6. Select the appropriate options on the File Layout tab, click Next
  7. Select the Fields tab and select at least the required fields:

    • Under Class, select Import ID

    • Under Class, Class Term, select Import ID

    • Under Class, Class Term, Class Term Meeting, select Cycle Day (select once per meeting for the maximum number of meetings a class may have in a single term)

    • Under Class, Class Term, Class Term Meeting, select Start period or Start time (select once for each meeting)

    • Under Class, Class Term, Class Term Meeting, Class Term Meeting Faculty, select Faculty (select once for each teacher that will be added)

    • Mark the create control report option
    • Click Save to save the import parameters
    • Click Create now to export the data and create the import file

Note: The spreadsheet will contain the class import IDs but not the course names.  In order to identify which course is listed, you may want to also create a Class/Class import to export the Class Import ID and Course name.  You can then sort both exported files (Class/Term and Class/Class) by the Class Import ID in order to identify the course by its Import ID.

    • Within the exported spreadsheet, add the appropriate teachers in the Faculty columns using the teacher's Record ID (rather than teacher name)

    • Save the spreadsheet in CSV format

    Import the teachers:
    1. In Administration, click Import records
    2. Open the saved import parameters
    3. Change Export records to the Update existing records option
    4. Click Import Now to begin the import process
    5. Review the control report once the process is complete
