1. Create an additional marking column that will house the running total. For example, create a Semester 1 marking column to combine the grades for Quarter 1 and Quarter 2.
  2. Enter all Quarter 1 grades in the Semester 1 marking column in Faculty Access for the Web.
  3. Post the grades to the Quarter 1 marking column in Grades at the end of Quarter 1.
  4. Continue to enter all grades in the Semester 1 marking column in Faculty Access for the Web.
  5. Post the grades to the Quarter 2 marking column in Grades at the end of Quarter 2.

Note: If an average is also needed for each marking column
separately, enter Quarter 2 grades in both Quarter 2 and Semester 1 in Faculty Access for the Web.
 

OR

  1. Enter all assignment grades in the first relevant marking column.  For example, enter all grades for Quarter 1 in the Quarter 1 marking column in Faculty Access for the Web.
  2. At the end of Quarter 1, post grades from Quarter 1 in Faculty Access for the Web to Quarter 1 and Semester 1 in Grades.
  3. Enter all grades for Quarter 2 marking column in Faculty Access for the Web.
  4. At the end of Quarter 2, post grades from Quarter 2 in Faculty Access for the Web to Quarter 2 and Semester 1 in Grades.
  5. The grades for both Quarters 1 and 2 will be calculated in a running assignment average for Semester 1.
