The post office changed its Move Update Standard on November 23, 2008. Please refer to "How will Blackbaud comply with the new USPS Move Update Standard?"  (BB455852) for more information.
The AddressFinder update (formerly NCOA On-Demand) includes a conversion service to perform the following:
  • CASS Certification (BB28347) of each address submitted. To avoid abbreviations such as 'ST' instead of 'Street,' ensure that you are on the latest version of the Raiser's Edge which has the option to not standardize the addresses.

  • Address changes that are present in the NCOA database (BB22555), which is the U.S. Postal Service's National Change of Address database. For information on how the addresses are matched from The Raiser's Edge database to the NCOA database, refer to How does AddressFinder match addresses? (BB121280).

Note: For information on the differences between CASS and NCOA, refer to What is the difference between NCOA and CASS? (BB520807).
