  1. Establish EFT Security for Banks
    1. In Administration, click Set up system security.
    2. Open the applicable Group.
    3. Select Shared Components.
    4. Highlight Bank Accounts and click Options.
    5. Select Payroll.
    6. Designate the EFT access for the group by marking the checkbox in the View, Add, Edit or Delete columns.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Click OK.
  2. Configure the Bank Account to allow EFT: 
    1. On the navigation bar, click Banks.
    2. Select the appropriate bank account from the Select a bank account drop-down menu.
    3. Click Edit account details and then select the Payments tab.
    4. Mark the Allow? checkbox for the Electronic Funds Transfer row.
    5. Select the appropriate EFT form from the Default form drop-down menu.
    6. Click Edit Payment Options.
    7. Highlight the EFT General option and then complete the fields in the EFT General frame with the information provided by your bank. Click OK
    8. Click Save and Close.
  3. Define Payment method and Bank Information for the participating employees:
    1. On the navigation bar, click Employees.
    2. Open the employee to be paid by EFT.
      Note: The employee record will not save if payment method is EFT Check but the EFT status on the bank is Prenote.
    3. Select the Bank Info tab.
    4. Select the appropriate bank account from which to pay the employee.
    5. Click New Employee Bank.
    6. Enter the bank name.
    7. Select Pre-Note as the EFT Status.
    8. Enter the Account number, Routing number, and any other information needed for the employee's bank.
    9. Click Save and Close.
    10. Save and close the employee.
  4. Create the Prenote Authorization File

    After the Prenote Authorization File is approved, globally change the EFT status on employee records from Computer Check to EFT. If the prenote fails for any employee, set their EFT status back to Pre-note.
  5. Use Electronic Funds Transfer to pay employees:

       1.  Open Bank Accounts and click Print Payroll checks and EFT notices under Payment Tasks.
       2.  On the General Tab, select Based on payment method for Pay all employees in this payment run.
       3.  Verify that the information in the payment run is correct and click Create Now.
