Adjusting the server memory settings: 

  1. Open the Blackbaud Management Console, expand Servers and highlight the SQL Server instance to adjust the memory setting for.
  2. Click Memory in the right frame.
  3. Select the appropriate settings and click OK.

    Note: It is recommended that these settings only be changed by an experienced system administrator or certified SQL Server technician. We are unable to recommend specific settings for your server.

If you are running The Raiser's Edge as a standalone installation and the workstation has less than 2 GB of memory, Raiser's Edge performance can be enhanced by manually setting SQL Server memory to a value less than 2 GB.

Note: It is recommended that these settings only be changed by an experienced system administrator or certified SQL Server technician. We are unable to recommend specific settings for your server.

If you are running The Education Edge or The Financial Edge as a standalone installation and the workstation has 1 GB of memory, The Financial Edge performance can be enhanced by manually setting SQL Server's maximum RAM threshold to 512MB.
