You must select to track attendance by Day only in order for the Business Rule to take effect whether faculty can enter day attendance in homeroom or a class meeting at a specific time

- Only the faculty/staff member listed as the homeroom teacher for the school/academic year on a student's Student Progression Entry can enter attendance for the student in Faculty Access for the Web
- The faculty member enters day attendance for his homeroom students in Faculty Access for the Web by selecting the Homeroom option in the Class field on the Attendance page
- In Faculty Access for the Web, a non-homeroom teacher can view daily attendance entries for students in his classes, but he cannot add or edit entries
Take day attendance by class meeting time if you have a specific time you take attendance. For example, the teacher with a class at 9 a.m. takes attendance for the day. To use this method, students do not need a homeroom teacher on their Student Progression Entries.
