Note : Before you proceed with the following instructions, back up the database. If your organization integrates multiple Blackbaud products, refer to the Additional Requirements section of the backup article.

    • Create a query of the records updated through PhoneFinder
      1. Create a static constituent query (BB19082)

      2. On the Criteria tab, select:

Addresses, Preferred Address, Preferred Phones, Preferred Specific Phones, [Phone Type of the new phone numbers - the default value is PhoneFinder], [Phone Type] Number not blank

AND Addresses, Preferred Address, Preferred Phones, Preferred Specific Phones, [Phone Type of the old phone numbers], [Phone Type] Number not blank

AND Addresses, Preferred Address, Preferred Address Date Last Changed equals [date the PhoneFinder data was imported]

For example, if the old phone numbers have the phone type Home and the new phone numbers have the phone type PhoneFinder, select:

Addresses, Preferred Address, Preferred Phones, Preferred Specific Phones, PhoneFinder Number not blank

AND Addresses, Preferred Address, Preferred Phones, Preferred Specific Phones, Home Number not blank

AND Addresses, Preferred Address, Preferred Address Date Last Changed equals [date the PhoneFinder data was imported]

      3. Add a table entry to the Phone Types table (BB5313) for the old phone numbers. Blackbaud suggests using Delete.

      4. Globally change the phone type (BB53628) of the records in the query created in step 1. Replace the phone type called Home with the phone type created in step 2 (Delete).

      5. Globally change the phone type (BB53628) of the rest of the records in the query created in step 1. Replace the phone type of PhoneFinder with the appropriate phone type, such as Home.

      6. Download and run the Delete Phones plug-in (BB21303) to delete the old phone numbers based on the phone type assigned to them in step 3 (Delete)
