• Have all user(s) close Financial Edge by going to File > Exit and Sign Out on the affected workstation or server
  • If issues persist, ensure all proceesses related to Financial Edge are ended via the steps below:
1. Open the Task Manager
2. Select the Processes tab
3. Select the Show Processes from All Users option
4. End Process on FE7Shell.exe, Blackbaud Management Console.bmc.exe and LoginManager.exe
5. Click Retry or Reinstall
  • If the FE Queue Service is installed on the computer, then temporarily stop the FE Queue Service in Windows Services and then start it back up once the patch or update is complete.
