Error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]SQLServerAgent Error: Job [JOBID] does not exist in the job cache. when running backup and maintenance tasks in the Blackbaud Management Console

When running maintenance tasks or backups through the Blackbaud Management Console, you may receive the error:
  • [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]SQLServerAgent Error: Job [JOBID] does not exist in the job cache.
This can occur if the database was originally attached in the Blackbaud Management Console using the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) [server.domain.com] or IP address of the SQL Server. 

We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Alternative Solution:
  1. Detach the database from the SQL Server instance that is using the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or IP address using the Blackbaud Management Console
  2. Re-attach the database using the Hostname of the SQL Server.
