• In the Field Name drop-down, select the field on which the condition is based. The fields in this drop-down were selected on the Fields to Include tab of the mailing or the Output tab of the export.
     
    • In the Comparison drop-down, select the appropriate operator
     
    • In the Compare to field, enter a value if appropriate
     
    • In the Insert this text field, enter a place holder to make it clear what field should be inserted if the record meets the criteria of the conditional statement. For example if you want to insert the Primary Addressee field if the record meets the criteria, enter Primary Addressee.
     
    • In the Otherwise insert this text field, enter a place holder to make it clear what field should be inserted if the record does not meet the criteria of the conditional statement. For example, if you want to insert an additional addressee if the record does not meet the criteria, enter Additional Addressee.
     
    • Click OK
     
    • If the conditional statement formula is not visible, press Alt + F9
     
    • In the conditional statement formula, delete the place holder from the Insert this text field, leave the cursor in its place, and select a field from the Insert Raiser's Edge field menu
     
    • In the conditional statement formula, delete the place holder from the Otherwise insert this text field, leave the cursor in its place, and select a field from the Insert Raiser's Edge field menu
     
    • Click Save and Return to RE7 to Merge
