In the Blackbaud Management Console:

The Blackbaud Management Console shows how many times a user is making a connection to the database via SQL Server.  Each time a user accesses a different table or make a change to the database, a connection is made.

Note: Some connections do not get released until the user logs out of the program.

In The Raiser's Edge Database Connection View Plug-in:

In the Database Connection Viewer plug-in, you will see users listed each time a user accesses a different table or makes a change to the database.  You will see X connection(s), Y using lockmanager as of XYZ.   X is number of connections being made and Y is the number of user licenses that are being used.
