- Enable TCP/IP.
- Ensure the TCP\IP port is open
- On the workstation receiving the error go to Start > Run
- Type in ODBCAD32
- Click Run
- Go to the System DSN Tab
- Highlight RE7_1 and click Configure
- Click next and then Client Configuration
- Click TCP\IP and note the Port number on the right
- Create an exception for this port in the Windows Firewall on the Blackbaud Management Console server
If on a 64 bit workstation: On the workstation receiving the error go to
- Go to C:\\Windows\SysWOW64
- Open the odbcad32.exe file
- Go to the System DSN Tab
- Highlight RE7_1 and click Configure
- Click next and then Client Configuration
- Click TCP\IP and note the Port number on the right
- Create an exception for this port in the Windows Firewall on the Blackbaud Management Console server
