Note : Before you proceed with the following instructions, back up the database. If your organization integrates multiple Blackbaud products, refer to the Additional Requirements section of the backup article.

 

  1. How to delete all classes without grades or attendance for a school, academic year, and session

    To delete all classes for a school, academic year, and session:
    1. On the Scheduling page, click Edit master schedule.
    2. Click on the Summary view.
    3. On the action bar, click Clear All Classes.
    4. A message appears asking if you are sure you want to delete the classes. Click Yes to continue.
    5. For those courses where scheduling information exists for at least one class, the following will display: 'Scheduling information exists for at least one of the classes of the included courses. Are you sure you want to delete those classes? Yes/No'.

      Note 1: Scheduling information means meeting times, teachers, rooms, and students enrolled.


      Note 2: If grades or attendance information exists for any of the included classes, a message appears stating that the classes cannot be deleted. Click OK.

     

     

  2. How to delete classes with grading and attendance information

    To delete classes with grading and attendance information, you can use Create Classes:
    1. On the Scheduling page, click Create Classes.
       
    2. On the Create Classes screen, select Calculated number of classes in the If calculated classes is lower than minimum field.
       
    3. Select Do not create classes in the following fields: If calculated classes is lower than minimum, If calculated classes is higher than maximum, and Courses without requests.
       
    4. Mark the Clear existing classes checkbox.
       
    5. Click Create Now.
