Try each of the following steps in order until the issue is resolved:

  1. Log in locally as a Local Administrator.
  2. Ensure you have sufficient disk space for the installation.
  3. End task on BBPATCH.EXE, IDRIVER.EXE, SETUP.EXE, and MSIEXEC.EXE, if they are running.
  4. Run the Setup.exe file to install prerequisites.
  5. Enable MSI logging to determine the cause of the error.
  6. Uninstall the vba6.msi file from the '\Deploy\ISSetupPrerequisites\Visual Basic for Applications Version 2627.01'.
  7. Update/Repair The Raiser's Edge on the workstation.
  1. Disable any anti-virus software running on the workstation.
  1. Install the PatchPackage.msp file:
    1. Browse to the '\Deploy\Patch' folder.
    2. Right-click on PatchPackage.msp and select Apply.
    3. In The Raiser's Edge InstallShield Wizard, click Update.
    4. During the installation, if prompted for a source to use, click Browse and select The Raiser's Edge.msi file located in the Deploy folder.
    5. Click OK
    6. Allow the installation to complete and click Finish.
    7. Re-run the patch installer file for the patch you're attempting to install
