Note: Before you proceed with the following instructions, back up the database. If your organization integrates multiple Blackbaud products, refer to the Additional Requirements section of the backup solution.
Note: Before deleting any SQL Server logins, detach the database. After the logins are deleted, attach the database. Any missing SQL Server Logins will be generated automatically as users log into the database.
Note: The only SQL Server logins that can be deleted are in Security, Logins within SQL Studio Manager or Enterprise Manager. The accounts under [Database Name], Security, Logins should NOT be deleted as these are vital to the correct functioning of the database.
Accounts such as REUSER, BBDBA, NETCLASSROOM_USER, REUser_ReadOnly, Sa, and WEBREPORTS are Blackbaud Accounts as should not be deleted. Also, there are Financial Edge\Education Edge SQL accounts that get created to match the Financial Edge/Education Edge user accounts that are maintained within the database. These too should not be deleted unless your Financial Edge/Education Edge database is detached. Once your database is reattached these accounts should be recreated.
Note: Deleting accounts could cause serious issues resulting in possibly being locked out of SQL Server.
Please contact the appropriate software vendor or IT professional for assistance with this process or issue, which is beyond Blackbaud's scope of support.
