Ensure that report parameters are the same for both reports:
1. Open both reports. On the General tab, make sure the same query and date range are in use
2. Verify same filters are selected on the Filters tab in both reports
2. Verify that the same gift types are included and options such as Use Gift Balance checkbox are selected or deselected in both report - if the Include outstanding pledges only checkbox is marked in the Pledge Status report, numbers may be lower than in the Gift Detail and Summary Report
3. After making changes to ensure both report parameters match, preview reports to verify that totals match
