Error: The effective date has to be during a period of employment

Error:  The effective date has to be during a period of employment when saving an Attendance Plan to an employee's record.
Occurs when saving an Attendance Plan.
Business Rule is set to calculate attendance based on the most recent hire date.
An attendance plan and records on the employee record do not coincide with any valid period of employment based on the hire events on the employee record.
  1. Delete the attendance records that are not during any period of employment
  2. Adjust the effective dates of any previous attendance plans so that these are all valid based on the employee's dates/periods of employment
  3. Add the new attendance plan as applicable
  4. Save the employee record
Or
  1. On the Attendance tab note the earliest attendance record's date
  2. On the HR info tab change the hire date to a date on or before the date of that earliest attendance record.

Environment

Duplicated in version 7.70.638, revision 3
