Note : Before you proceed with the following instructions, back up the database. If your organization integrates multiple Blackbaud products, refer to the Additional Requirements section of the backup article.

Carefully read all of the instructions listed below before proceeding. If you are new to importing, also refer to How to import - The Basics of Importing.
  1. Create a constituent query to include records that need declarations.
  2. Create a constituent declarations import file based on the query in step 1 and include all declaration fields and the Constituent Import ID or Constituent ID.

    View a sample file (7taxdecl.csv) which imports new tax declaration to an existing constituent.
  3. Open the CSV file in Excel and add the declaration information. Save and close the file in CSV format.
  4. Import the records using a constituent declarations import. Select Import new records.
