Error: The synchronization process could not be started or one or more warnings may have occurred - when running Synchronization

You may receive this error when running Synchronization manually in Integration: The synchronization process could not be started or one or more warnings may have occurred. Synchronization details can be found in the Integration Activity Report.  In addition the integration Activity report states Synchronization started and lists exception records.
