Email lists are automatically refreshed each time an email message is sent to the list. It is not necessary to manually refresh a list before sending a message to it. When viewing the date last refreshed on a list at Email > Lists, that is the last date of a direct manual refresh.
When a scheduled email begins processing to send, the lists are refreshed in NetCommunity before the email leaves the system. For additional information, please refer to What are the email statuses in Blackbaud NetCommunity and Internet Solutions?
If a list is using a Raiser's Edge or and Education Edge static query, the NetCommunity email list refresh does not refresh the static query results in the application. The list refresh only pulls the most current data/email from the grouped records in the static query. Static queries can only be refreshed in The Raiser's Edge or The Education Edge itself. It is not necessary to refresh an email list at Email > Lists before an email send. If you click Refresh List on a list for a manual refresh, the list will refresh according to the List Acquisition and Refresh settings in NetCommunity. If a list is using a static query from The Raiser's Edge or The Education Edge, the manual refresh does not refresh the static query records in the application.
