You can declare degrees, majors, minors, and concentrations on the Requirements tab on a Student record.


Adding a Degree:

    • In Records, click Students, and then open a student record

    • Select the Requirements tab

    • On the action bar, click Add New Degree. The Declare
      Degree screen appears.

    • Select a degree from the Degree drop-down list

    • Select the date range in the Valid for drop-down list

    • Enter a date in the Declared On field

    • In the grid, enter the people who approve or do not approve the declaration

    • To save the degree declaration, click OK. You cannot edit the degree
      declaration after saving this information, but you can edit the approval
      grid.



    Adding a major or minor:

    The student must declare a degree before you can add a major or minor.

      • In Records, click Students, and open a student record

      • Select the Requirements tab

      • On the action bar, click the black arrow and select Add New Major or Add New
        Minor. The Declare Major or Declare Minor screen appears.

      • Select the degree the major/minor is for from the For drop-down list

      • Select the major or minor in the Major or minor drop-down list

      • Select a date range in the Valid for drop-down list

      • Enter a date in the Declared On field

      • In the grid, you can create a list of people who approve or do not approve
        of the declaration.

      • To save the major or minor declaration, click OK. You cannot edit the
        major or minor declaration after saving this information, but you can edit
        the approval grid.






      Adding a concentration or option:


      a student must declare a major before you can add a concentration or option.

        • In Records, click Students, and open a student record
        • Select the Requirements tab.

        • On the action bar, click the black arrow and select Add New Concentration or
          Add New Option. The Declare concentration or Declare Option screen appears.

        • Select the major containing the concentration or option from the For drop-down list

        • In the Concentration or Option drop-down, select the concentration or option

        • In the Valid for drop-down list, select the date range for the concentration or option.

        • In the Declared On field, enter the date the student declares the
          concentration or option.

        • In the grid, you can create a list of people who approve or do not approve
          of the declaration.
        • To save the concentration or option declaration, click OK. You cannot
          edit the concentration or option declaration after saving this information,
          but you can edit the approval grid.
