Query sorts incorrectly when sorted by grade level. This solution explains how to sort grade level by numeric order instead of alphabetical order.
1. In Configuration, click Tables 2. Select the Grade Level table 3. Sort the table entries in the order in which they should show in the query 4. Select Tools, Options or User Options from the menu bar 5. Select the Query tab 6. Select Code Tables 7. Under How do you want to sort code table entries, select the Sort by table order option 8. Click Apply, OK 9. Run the query
The Grade Level field is alphanumeric. As an alphanumeric field, each character of the grade level is considered individually. To sort by grade level, each grade level would need to have the same number of characters. For example, instead of 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, create grade levels of 08, 09, 10, 11, 12.
