Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Analysis area in ResearchPoint.
  2. Choose Information library.
  3. Choose Query.
  4. Select to Add an Ad-hoc Query.
  5. Select which type of Source View to use. (Constituents is the most commonly used query type)
  6. On the new query screen, in the first column expand the category you are querying on.
  7. In the second column double click the filed you want to query on and set your criteria. 
  8. Click and Drag any fields to the Results Fields to Display pane to display the query output. 
  9. Select the appropriate Sort/Group Filters on the corresponding tab.
  10. Select Preview Results tab to see the results of your query.
  11. Click Save Options to name and save your query.
  12. On the set save options tab, be sure to check the box create a selection and 'show this selection in the query designer.  

To edit a query:

  1. On the Query Page, click on the drop down double green arrows in front of query name, then select Edit. (How to access Query).
    Note: If the query does not show click the Apply Filter Icon with no filter's chosen. This will show all saved queries.
  2. Edit the Filter, output, sort, or group filter as necessary.
  3. Process the query (click Results or the icon that is a Green Exclamation Point).
  4. Save the query.

To delete a query:

  1. On the Query Page click on the drop down double green arrows in front of query name, then select Delete (How to access Query).
    Note: If the query does not show click the Apply Filter Icon with no filter's chosen. This will show all saved queries.
