How to set up one record for both spouses and be able to send mail addressed to either the primary record holder or the spouse
1. Set up the main constituent on the Bio 1 tab and add the spouse on the Spouse button. Be sure to fill in the Gender/Sex and Title fields. 2. On the Addressee/Salutations tab, add additional addr/sals for each mailing situation needed (examples - Primary Female, Primary Male, Formal Female, Formal Male etc). 3. When ready to do a mailing, separate each mailing into two queries: Query 1 filtering on Biographical Gender = Female and Query 2 filtering on Biographical Gender = Male 4. In Mail, select Query 1 and on the Addr/Sal tab, select the desired Addr/Sals for all Bio 1 tab Females and process your mailing. 5. In Mail, select Query 2 and on the Addr/Sal tab, select the desired Addr/Sals for all Bio 1 tab Males and process your mailing.
