1. On the navigation bar, click Config
  2. Click Business Rules, Membership Options, General Options 
  3. In For membership categories with gift defaults established, select the Automatically add a gift for that membership option.
  4. In Config, click Membership Categories
  5. Open the category in which to create the gifts.
  6. Select the Default Settings tab.
  7. Click Gift Defaults.
  8. Select an existing default set to be used for the category or click New to add a new default set.

When adding a new membership with that category, a gift will automatically be added to the constituent record with the default information established in the default set tied to the membership category. The gift record will display before the membership is closed allowing any additional gift information not established in the default set to be added.
