Try each of the following steps in order until the error is resolved:

  1. Set up a Business Rule to adjust if the Student's year cannot be calculated
    1. In Configuration, click Business Rules and highlight Students
    2. Select the appropriate year for the rule: When calculating a student's year, use [year] for those students who cannot be calculated. For example, select Freshman as the starting year for new students.
  2. If the current date falls outside of an Academic Year, view the Student Progression Entry.
    1. In Records, Open the student record
    2. Select Student, Student Progression from the menu bar
  3. Enter a Student Progression:

    1. With the student record open, select Student, Student Progression from the menu bar
    2. On the Student Progression screen, you must select entries for Academic Year, Year, and Advisor.
    3. Click OK to save the information and close the Student Progression screen
