Note: These instructions are for version 7.75. or higher.

  1. In Grades, click Enter Grades by Student .
  2. Search for and select a student. 
  3. In the Display drop-down menu, select Grades and Other Courses or Other Courses.  
  4. Click the Add Other Course button on the action bar.

Note: There are three options. Either copy an existing course OR create a new course directly on this screen OR Select an existing course.

 

To select an existing course:

  1. Mark Search for an Existing course > Click Okay
  2. Search for the preferred course
  3. Double click the preferred course OR Click on the course> Click open 
  4. Enter the preferred grading information

Create a New Transfer course:

  1. Mark "Create a new course ..."
    1. If there is a course already created with the exact settings, users may use the "Copy from" function. View the steps mentioned later in the article.  
  2. Enter the Course ID and Name (required) and a Description (optional). 
  3. Select the appropriate Translation table from the drop-down menu. 
  4. Enter the number of credits the student attempted, the grade received and the marking column in which it was received. 
  5. If using the Graduation Requirements module, you may select the requirements and number of credits you wish to substitute. 
  6. Click Save and New to create another entry or Save and Close when complete.

OR

To create the new course by Copying an existing course's grading information:

  1. Click the binoculars button to search for the existing course you wish to copy.
    Note: We recommend creating 'template' courses for this purpose. This will minimize data entry work on the new course record with regard to Restrictions, Grading information, etc.
  2. Highlight the course and click Open. 
  3. Enter the Course ID and Name (required) and a Description (optional). 
  4. Select the appropriate Translation table from the drop-down menu. 
  5. Enter the number of credits the student attempted, the grade received and the marking column in which it was received. 
  6. If using the Graduation Requirements module, you may select the requirements and number of credits you wish to substitute. 
  7. Click Save and New to create another entry or Save and Close when complete.
