We recommend to process transactions one at a time, especially if the transaction has profile updates, as bulk processing can cause the profile updates to not work properly. Bulk processing has to either accept all profile updates, or reject them all. A video walk through is available at the bottom of this solution.

How to choose Batch for individual processing:
  1. Open the transaction grid by clicking on one of the links in the NetCommunity plugin, such as donations or event registrations.
  2. Choose Tools from the menu in the transaction grid popup window
  3. Choose transaction options
  4. Choose an appropriate option
    1. Use the next available batch number: This will place each transaction into a separate batch, and will just begin with the next available number.
    2. Add records to an existing batch or create a new batch with this number: This will allow you to enter a batch number into the box below, or click the binoculars to search for a batch that has already been created. A new batch will be created with the number entered in if a batch does not already exist. All transactions will be placed into the batch that is specified in the box.
    3. Create a new batch and use existing batch below for default fields and values: This will allow you to create a new batch based off of a batch template that is in The Raiser's Edge. The batch number you enter in the box is the batch that will be the batch template. All transactions will be placed into the batch that is created.  
  5. Click OK button
    **NOTE: In the bottom left corner of the transaction grid will be the current batch number. This will allow you to make sure that transactions are being placed into the correct batch.
  6. Select the gift
  7. Link all of the information that is highlighted for the transaction
  8. Click Process Transaction button
     
How to choose Batch for bulk processing:
  1. Open the transaction grid by clicking on one of the links in the NetCommunity plugin, such as donations or event registrations.

  3. Link all of the information that is highlighted for the transactions
  4. Mark all of the checkboxes to process. Or click the Select All checkbox at the bottom of the transaction grid.
  5. Click Bulk Processing button
  6. Select the Options tab
  7. Under Batch Number options choose an appropriate option
    1. Use the next available batch number: This will place each transaction into a separate batch, and will just begin with the next available number.
    2. Add records to an existing batch or create a new batch with this number: This will allow you to enter a batch number into the box below, or click the binoculars to search for a batch that has already been created. A new batch will be created with the number entered in if a batch does not already exist. All transactions will be placed into the batch that is specified in the box.

  8. Select Processing tab
  9. Click Process Now button
