Error: Invalid GL date or Error: Invalid Date when clicking Save or Data Entry in Gift Batch Setup

Error messages occur when a non-date value is the default for Gift Date or GL Post Date in a batch set up. A series of error messages will occur after pressing Save or Data Entry. The first error will be one or both of the following:

Error: Invalid GL date  AND/OR   Error:  Invalid date

Then the error message is followed by a series of messages like the following:

Error: Run time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument
Error: Run-time error '-2147418105 (80010007)':
Automation error
The callee (server [not server application]) is not available and disappeared; all connections are invalid. The call may have executed.
Error: Abnormal termination of SuperGrid70E: 1 Interface reference(s) were not removed
Error: ActiveX component can't create object
  1. Go to Tools, Edit Batch Setup
  2. Go to the Defaults tab and scroll down to the GL Post Date or Gift Date field.
  3. Remove the non-date value and insert a default date or leave blank.
  4. If you load the values from a template batch, then the inerrant value may be in the template itself. Open the template batch to review its default settings as described in steps 1 - 3.
