Follow the steps below in order until the issue is resolved.

In the Batch:
  1. Click No when prompted to apply the gift to the pledge. If they have a recurring gift, the prompt will now appear.
  2. Look through each uncommitted gift batch and ensure there are no pending transactions against that recurring gift.
In Business Rules:
  1. In Configuration, Business Rules, highlight Batch options.
  2. Mark the Outstanding recurring gift checkbox under "When adding a gift to a batch, warn if constituent has..."
  3. In Config, Business Rules, highlight Gift options, Activity options.
  4. Mark the Outstanding recurring gift checkbox under "When adding a gift warn if constituent has..."
