To restrict access for which users can manage events​
Note: there are multiple sections to manage rights for the Event Calendar, depending on whether the event is Uncategorized, Categorized or using an RSS feed.
  1. Edit the Event Calendar part
  2. Manage rights based on Uncategorized, Categorized or RSS
    1. Uncategorized event management rights: mark the Roles which have rights to add, edit, or delete uncategorized events for this calendar

  1. Event categories: 
    1. If Event categories are listed, click the people icon next to the Category name to manage which users can View, Add/Edit/Delete events

  1. ​After clicking the people icon, click Add users and roles

  1. Select the desired Users or Roles from the left, and click Add to add them. Then, Assign the permissions for View or Add/Edit/Delete in the lower window.

  1. Click OK on the Create new security permission window
  2. Repeat as needed
  3. Click OK on the Event Category Security window

  1. RSS event publishing: If Enable RSS is marked, you can also choose to select the roles to manage the published events. Managers may add, edit, and delete published events. If published events are moderated, a manager must approve posts.
    1. Scroll to Security Rights and click Add users and roles

  1. Select the desired Users or Roles from the left, and click Add to add them. Then, Assign the permissions to Post or Manage.

  2. Repeat as needed
