1. In The Raiser's Edge, navigate to Records>Constituents
  2. Open the record of the constituent whose relationship is to be deleted
  3. On the Relationships tab, highlight the relationship to delete
  4. Click Delete
  5. Click Yes to the prompt confirming you want to delete the relationship
  6. When finished, click Save or Save and Close


Note: This deletes the relationship record from the Relationships tab. It does not delete the relationship's actual constituent record.
 

The spouse, primary education, primary business, and primary bank information can also be deleted from the Spouse, Education, Business, and Bank buttons, respectively. To remove the relationship from the button but not the Relationships tab:

 
  1. Navigate to Records>?Constituents
  2. Open the record of the constituent whose relationship is to be deleted
  3. Click the appropriate button and unmark the appropriate checkbox as follows:
    • Spouse: On the General 1 tab, unmark the Spouse checkbox in the This individual is the: frame
    • Education: On the School tab, unmark the Primary alumni information checkbox
    • Business: On the General 1 tab, unmark the Primary business information checkbox in the For this organization, this individual is the: frame
    • Bank: On the General tab, unmark the Primary bank information checkbox
  4. Save and close the relationship
