    Use Export and Import

     

    • Create an attribute with the correct data type and assign it a slightly different name.
    • Create a constituent query of the constituents with the incorrect attribute
    • Globally change the attribute on the constituents using the query created in step 2.


      Note: To completely delete a particular attribute from the database:

      1. In Administration, click Globally Delete Records
      2. Select Attributes as the record type
      3. Select to either delete the records or run a pre-delete report
      4. Mark the Create control report checkbox
      5. Select the Delete Options tab
      6. Select the type of attribute to delete and the description in the Attributes to Delete grid
      7. Click Delete Now to begin the process. The control report appears once the process completes. The attribute is completely removed from the database.
