A timetable is the bell schedule for class periods and lunch during each day of the cycle.
Periods are set times on the timetable when classes typically meet. For more information, refer to How to define cycles and timetables (BB177578).
A pattern is a scheduling template that defines when the classes of a course can meet. Each pattern is associated with a timetable.
Each block in a pattern defines the rhythm of the pattern across the cycle. Each block is an option or scenario that Generate Master Schedule can use when scheduling classes of the courses associated with the pattern. Blocks are often made up of periods. For more information, refer to How to create scheduling patterns (BB134808).
