Try each of the following steps in order until the issue is resolved:
  1. Reboot the workstation.
  2. Rename the BBUpdate.ini to BBUpdate.old (generally located in the C:\Program Files\Blackbaud\The Raisers Edge 7 folder).
  3. Log back into The Raiser's Edge.
  4. Log onto the computer with a different Windows account that has local administrator rights and attempt to log in.  If the issue does not occur, then re-create the Windows profile for the affected user.
  5. Manually update/repair the workstation.
  6. Uninstall and re-install The Raiser's Edge.
  7. Ensure the installed version of Internet Explorer is compatible with the version of Raiser's Edge. For more information , see applicable system requirements.
  8. Repair the installation of Internet Explorer.
